What attire is suitable for a corporate headshot?
Solid colors photograph cleanest. Navy, charcoal, deep green, burgundy, and crisp white all read well on camera — a dark blazer over a light shirt is the classic corporate look, and a solid sheath dress works just as well.
Skip busy patterns, thin stripes, small checks, and anything with a logo. Thin stripes in particular can moiré on camera, and patterns pull attention away from your face.
Fit matters more than most people expect. Well-fitted and freshly pressed will do more for the final image than the specific garment — a great suit that doesn't fit photographs worse than a simple top that does. Keep jewelry minimal and classic.
Bring more options than your package includes. Whatever number of looks you've booked, bring extras — some things photograph differently than they look in the mirror, and having choices means we can build the strongest looks together rather than working with whatever came in the bag. If your company has brand guidelines for headshots, send them over ahead of time and we'll work to them.
Will I see my images as we shoot?
YES, You'll See Your Images As We Shoot.
I shoot tethered, so every frame comes up on a screen during your session. We review as we go and adjust in real time — angle, expression, lighting, wardrobe — so nothing is a surprise and we don't move on until it's working.
When you're happy with the session, we sit down together and edit it down. I'll give you my honest feedback on which frames are strongest and why, and we'll select your finals from there.

Do I require makeup and hair services for my photoshoot?
Not required. Most corporate clients skip it and look fine. It helps if you're on camera a lot, if you want extra polish for a leadership page or press use, or if you just feel better having someone else handle it. A trained set of eyes on set is genuinely useful.
What is the cost for a make-up artist to be on set?
The starting price for the services of my professional makeup artist, who also provides light hairstyling, is $350. Alternatively, some clients choose to visit their own salon before the photoshoot and then proceed directly to me.
Do you offer group headshot photo packages?
Certainly! We provide customized group headshot photo packages that cater to the specific needs of your company in New York City. Please contact us with your requirements (e.g., how many people need to be photographed? How many retouched images do you require? How many hours do you need us for?).
Do you accept walk-ins?
We operate exclusively on an appointment-only basis. However, if you require a last-minute photoshoot, we encourage you to call or text us during regular business hours, Monday through Friday. While we are typically in the studio during these times, we may be able to accommodate your request.
How much are additional retouched images?
Additional high-end retouched images are $75 each, with a turnaround time of 3-5 days.
